  • Execute and manage economic development strategic plan with emphasis on creating new jobs through new business, industry, manufacturing attraction and investment.

    Execute and manage an economic development strategic plan with emphasis on retaining or creating additional primary wage jobs (twenty-nine thousand dollars) from business activity already existing in Phoenix.

    Promote the revitalization of locally owned retail through formation of an independent business district.

    1. Methodology: Develop and engage an aggressive and focused new business recruitment model.

    2. Promotion: Attract attention of potential new business through networking with state and local agencies and making personal or telephonic contact.

    3. Ensure that all primary wage employers are fully aware of the wide array of business support resources in Jackson County and the state of Oregon through OECDD.

    4. Service Delivery: Organize processes by which any outside business interest may acquire accurate and timely information with regard to making a Phoenix business location decision.

    5. Certification: Engage in certifying an industrial site, or negotiating a location, retention, expansion of revitalization projects in conjunction with OECDD and ODOT.

    6. Revitalization: Encourage existing locally owned retail to form an organization to promote Phoenix as a retail center.
